Making The World A Better Place!

   Hello, welcome to my blog! I made a podcast for the first time. This an assignment for my Instructional Technologies and Material Design in English Language Teaching class. I chose to find and present an idea to improve the world. At first, making a podcast freaked me out but I figured actually it is pretty easy. Also, I really enjoyed it. This post will inform you about the development of CALL ( Computer-Assisted Language Learning). CALL emerged in the 1950s. In the 1960s and 1970s, Structural/Behaviouristic CALL is used. Through this time, re peated exposure to the same material is believed to be beneficial to learning.  A computer is used as a tutor. There was Communicative/Cognitive CALL in the 1980s and 1990s.  Grammar is not taught explicitly. Computers are used to create discussions or critical thinking.
