Adieu!

   Hello for the last time! This is my last post. In this class, I have learned many things and it shaped my thoughts. I pretty much still think in the way that I wrote my philosophy statement. However, at first actually, I didn’t have this much knowledge about teaching with technology. I always thought that technology is necessary for education to show a subject to students in various and memorable ways. I learned new ways of using technology and how to integrate students into this process.    I also believe that I am improved because I wasn’t really good with computers. Now I am still not super good but at least I can accomplish simple actions. I learned how to edit a wiki page. That was something I never did before. I used padlet for the first time and I found it so helpful and creative. I did a podcast for the first time. We created a digital story for the first time and I had fun while trying to figure out how to edit a video or add music. I made a poster ...

Creating An Infographic

  Hey, everyone! My task was to create an infographic about web 2.0 tools. Infographic means a visual representation of information or data. They can be used for multiple purposes. I used it to explain my favorite web 2.0 tools. Throughout this semester, we used many web 2.0 tools. I chose five of them. I used this website  to create my infographic. I chose a template and designed it according to my topic. I found related pictures and added them. Later, I wrote my ideas for each tool and explained why I would recommend them. Lastly, I did the final touches and saved the infographic.   It was easy to create for me and it was enjoyable. Infographics can be used in class because students probably would understand better when it is visualized. When it is given as homework, they can accomplish their homework without many problems.    I hope you like my infographic! Make sure to state your ideas in the comments!

Digital Storytelling

  Hello, everyone! Today’s post is about digital storytelling. We created a digital story. We chose to do a ‘how to’ digital story. We did a research to find our topic. Then, we split up our parts and recorded our speeches. We found photos to use according to our speech. By using Movie Maker, we combined our recordings and these photos. And lastly, we added background music by using Adobe Premiere Clip.   Using Movie Maker was really easy. However, I had troubles when it comes to adding background music. Later, I figured it out.   I made this digital story with 2 of my friends Rana and Eda . You can go and visit their blogs by simply clicking their names.   I may give a task like this to my students but it would be easier definitely. They can enjoy themselves with their own creation. My Poster!

  My task was to create an online poster. I chose to do a magazine cover. I wanted to do a fashion magazine because it is more related to me. First I prepared my background and added the magazine's name. I chose Zendaya to be on my cover because she is one of my inspirations. Then I found a photo of hers and cut it's background so that it would look like a magazine cover shoot. Lastly, I added the date and the topics that the magazine includes.   To create this magazine cover, I used mobile apps PicsArt and Moldiv.   I really enjoyed this task and I could use this with my students too. I think they can also enjoy this because this task contains technology and they can combine their interests with technology. The website I evaluated is iSLCOLLECTIVE. You can reach the website here . Its scope is wide and its target audience is the ELT teachers. Its purpose is to enable ELT teachers to share and make use of the materials.        Who authored the website?  Is there any information about their qualifications or credentials?               Its founders are Peter Laszlo (Kisdobos), Adam Laszlo, Benedek Princz. Apart from them, the website is authored by English teachers around the world. Internet-based Project

    Hello, everyone! This week's assignment of mine is to make an internet-based project. This project is a padlet wall. In the padlet, you can create your own wall to share your ideas or topic. You can also have a wall that can be controlled by a group of people. The last one is what we did in our internet-based project. As a topic, we chose endangered species. At the beginning of this project, we made a group of five and divided the topic to each person. One of us created the padlet page and send us inviting emails.  This way, we could go and add our own parts to the padlet from different places. Padlet really helped us to complete our project easily. It is very easy to write your ideas.
